June Shaver Butterfly Garden
The June Shaver Butterfly Garden was established by alumna June Shaver in 2006, in memory of her parents Willis H. and Harriet Sarah (Ridley) Shaver. Shaver is an alumni of the classes of 1976 and 1982. She was honored with the Torch & Shield award in 1994, Outstanding Alumni award in 1995, and was inducted into the Athletic Hall of Fame in 2010. The June Shaver Butterfly Garden is made up of flowers and other horticulture that attracts many insects including butterflies and bees. The garden is a popular spot for visitors to stroll through and enjoy nature.
