Men's Baseball

The Golden Eagles baseball team competes in NCAA Division II, and the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC), one of the division's premier leagues. Minnesota Crookston has been a top-notch NSIC program in recent history, making six NSIC Tournament appearances since 2016. The Golden Eagles are in their 10th season under Head Coach Steve Gust, the winningest coach in any sport in Minnesota Crookston athletics history.

Program Highlights

  • Jake Hjelle was the 2023 National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) Division II National Player of the Year
  • Zach Seipel was the first player in program history to be drafted by the MLB in 2018
  • Nine former Golden Eagles have gone on to play professional baseball
  • Seven NSIC Tournament appearances since 2000 (six have been within the last nine years)
  • Current Head Coach Steve Gust is the second-winningest head coach in U of M Crookston history
  • Several All-America, National Players of the Year, All-Region and Golden Glove players in the past eight years
