Trap

The Golden Eagle co-ed trap team is in their fifth season as a program competing in the USA College Clay Target League. They have consistently been one of the top three teams in their conference, and are coming off a second-place finish at the USA College Clay Target League Nationals in 2023. Minnesota Crookston is in their second season under the leadership of Head Coach Anne Prudhomme.

Students have two options to compete:

Competitive Trap Team

Clay Target Club

  • Competes in the USA College Clay Target League against other schools
  • Competitions at the Crookston Gun Club
  • The team is treated the same as our 13 other intercollegiate athletic teams with academic standards that must be met to compete
  • Ammo, targets and competition are funded by the team
  • Travels to other colleges for exhibition shoot
  • Student club on campus
  • Competes against fellow club members
  • Access to the Crookston Gun Club
  • Must buy punch card at the beginning of the season
  • Club members will be reimbursed for punch card based on fundraiser and volunteer event attendance.
