Let’s get down to business with marketing

Marketing is everywhere. It grabs our attention, influences our preferences, makes us fall in love with brands, and ultimately entices us to spend money. Marketing is an essential business process that manages the flow of products from the point of conception to the point of consumption. Marketers dig into the minds of consumers using psychological and behavioral techniques. Students in the marketing major will learn skills and strategies to help them identify the customers' needs and wants. You will learn to apply current digital technologies to marketing planning. Along with that, you’ll also study the challenges facing marketers in the global business environment and develop the critical thinking skills needed to be successful.

Marketing is a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree.

The importance of marketing for organizations today cannot be underestimated. Even the best product in the world can fail if it is not marketed appropriately. Marketing is a very broad degree program covering diverse topics such as personal selling, integrated marketing communication, advertising, sales promotion, the psychology of consumer behavior, marketing research, retail marketing, marketing ethics, logistics, internet marketing, and strategic marketing. Organizations need individuals who can identify consumer needs and configure appropriate solutions, and a marketing degree provides graduates with these skills.

A marketing degree prepares graduates for a variety of careers in marketing, including brand management, sales management, personal selling, account executives, advertising, marketing research, and retailing.
