University of Minnesota Crookston fall semester marketing students in Courtney Bergman's class collaborated with the Crookston Visitors Bureau (CVB) on the nonprofit's 2023 marketing campaign and recently presented their proposal at a meeting in a campus boardroom. The class had been analyzing best marketing practices and offered their recommendations which included increasing online presence, utilizing program subscriptions to help execute social media posts, and to keep up on trends and follow other active organizations. They also provided a full list of days per month that the CVB could post about including "National Bubble Bath Day" January 8, which could tie in with a post about downtown Crookston business Real Good Bath & Body, and "National Take A Walk In The Park Day" March 30 which could include photos of all the parks in town.

"The information was extremely valuable and the presentation was flawless," noted CVB interim tourism coordinator Nell DeBoer. "This collaboration will continue as we look for student internship opportunities and further insights from this group."
