A Gift to Eligible Graduates
UMN Crookston allows on-campus, degree-seeking graduates to keep their UMN Crookston issued laptop computer after the successful completion of all UMN Crookston academic requirements (approved by the Registrar’s Office). In addition, the following procedures must be fulfilled:
- The on-campus graduate has consistently participated in the laptop computer program.
- The on-campus graduate paid all technology fees associated with the laptop computer program each term of attendance.
- The on-campus graduate should keep their laptop at the end of their final semester. An email will be sent after your completed degree is verified by the Registrar’s Office.
- The on-campus graduate is responsible for backing up all of the data on their gifted laptop and will receive email instructions on how to reload it. This MUST be done in order to keep your laptop working. If you fail to reload it, it will stop working because the University licensed software will expire.
Additional information will be sent to on-campus degree applicants eligible for graduation. Please direct any further questions to the UMN Crookston Computer Help Desk (umchelp@umn.edu).
