If you are studying in the software engineering or information technology management programs or have a sufficient IT background, consider the cyber security and information assurance online minor. The minor consists of courses designed to provide students with a technical background, hands-on experiences, and theoretical background that give them a competitive edge in cybersecurity jobs.

Cybersecurity and Information Assurance Minor

This minor is intended for students who are studying in a computer-related field, such as the software engineering and information technology management programs. In addition, students from other programs with a sufficient IT background and the goal of working in cyber security will be able to enroll in this minor. This minor provides students with the technical background, theoretical background, and hands-on experiences that give them a competitive edge in landing cybersecurity jobs.

University of Minnesota Crookston is lucky enough to have a wide variety of international students and three of those students include Madeleine Schneider, Tseten Gurung, and Tsebaot Getachew. These three come from their own unique backgrounds, and have formed a strong friendship that is sure to last a lifetime.
