Campus Study Groups
Extending the Classroom evening study groups provide guidance to enhance course understanding for several common classes taken by students at U of M Crookston. Any student in these classes is welcome to attend the weekly study groups led by veteran tutors from the Student Success Center, who have successfully completed the course with a strong understanding of course content. The veteran tutors collaborate with faculty to tailor the study sessions to upcoming lectures, quizzes, and exams to help you actively engage with the course content. Extending the Classroom study group times and meeting locations are communicated to students through the classroom instructors. Not all Extending the Classroom Study Groups are offered every semester but typically the following study groups are offered:
- ANSC 1004: Introduction to Animal Science
- BIOL 1009: General Biology
- CHEM 1001: Introduction to Chemistry
Additional classes could be requested should the need arise. Please stop into the Student Success Center (Owen Hall 270) or email umctutor@crk.umn.edu for more information.
