  • Proud daughter of a business owner! Her parents have owned a small town bar and grill for over 44 years. Megan learned entrepreneurial skills as a young child and is passionate about leading by example and continuous improvement.

Biography

  • Ms. Kragness has experience teaching the following undergraduate courses at U of M Crookston both on campus and online: Principles of Management, Supervision and Leadership, Human Resource Management, Organizational Behavior Change, Creativity, and Innovation Management, Strategic Management 

    Over the past 18 years Megan has managed and led a number of retail and higher education departments. Prior to coming to U of M Crookston, she worked for a private college as the Manager of Student Finance assisting students and her team in determining the best possible way to pay for college. 

    Megan graduated with her B.S. in Business Management from Bemidji State University and her M.S. in Human Resources from the University of Scranton online, located in Scranton, Pennsylvania. She is very passionate about Management, Leadership, and Human Resource Management. Megan enjoys teaching online courses as she understands the need for flexibility while working full time and supporting a family. She enjoys learning from her students real life experiences and sharing examples in her classes. 

    Megan is an active member on various committees at U of M Crookston and completed the U of M Crookston Leads Program in 2018 through the University of Minnesota. She is an Academic and Faculty Advisor for the Management program. Megan is a Senior Certified Professional with the Society for Human Resource Management. She earned both the SHRM-CP and SCP credentials. Ms. Kragness served as the Online Teaching Fellow at the University of Minnesota Crookston from 2020 - 2022. Megan received the U of M Crookston Distinguished Professional and Administrative Award in May, 2020.
