About Me...

I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in both Minnesota and North Dakota. I’m a proud graduate of the University of Minnesota Crookston and earned my Master’s degree in Counseling from the University of North Dakota. My approach to counseling emphasizes increasing self-compassion and overall well-being.

I’ve completed advanced training in trauma-informed therapy and have specialized experience using Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) for trauma-related concerns. I also draw on training in Motivational Interviewing and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to support people who are working toward behavioral changes.

Before joining UMC Counseling Services in the spring of 2021, I spent eight years at the University of North Dakota’s Counseling Center. I also have a background as an addiction counselor and tobacco cessation specialist, which continues to inform my work in Alcohol, Tobacco, and Other Drug Prevention.
