Responsibilities

  • Develop relationships, plan, deliver and manage innovative pathways to strengthen the vitality of the campus and region. 
  • Cultivate engagement of corporate organizations for sponsorships, planning operational activities, camps and increasing the visibility of the campus through grant writing. 
  • Sets priorities and goals, oversees program development and delivery, manages operations and finances, and assures compliance with all applicable policies of the University.  
  • Works closely with faculty, staff, administrative colleagues, external collaborators and constituency groups to meet the mission and goals of the campus while promoting equity and inclusion on a small campus, in a rural setting. 
  • Responsible for campus leadership, vision, and regional visibility for U of M Crookston’s strategic outreach and engagement initiatives. 
  • Collaborates, plans, leads, and continuously improves the overall visibility and awareness of academics, programs, campus events and University services. Collaboration includes working with academic departments and campus units, regional economic development Centers, the communities in northwest Minnesota, regional organizations (example: NWMN Foundation, NW Regional Sustainable Development Center, Small Business Development Center, the Economic Development Administration, and U of M Extension). 
  • Builds and maintains strong relationship with local, regional, and state partners (Department of Employment & Economic Development, Minnesota Job Skills Partnerships and TCU Head Start Partnership Program) to provide effective coordination of community outreach and engagement including grant writing, workforce training and delivery of awards. 
  • Fundraise and relationship build through philanthropic giving and stewardship for student pathways, strategic initiatives and student scholarships.
