NACTA Students at conference in mid-April in Modesto, California
University of Minnesota Crookston agriculture and natural resources students who attended the North American Colleges and Teachers of Agriculture (NACTA) conference in mid-April in Modesto, California have a lot to be proud of after their competitions, including taking home the trophy for winning the four-year division sweepstakes.
Student Awards Ceremony in 2023
The University of Minnesota Crookston held its 2023 Student Awards Ceremony April 20 in Bede Ballroom and students were honored at the formal event for their work over the school year. Among those recognized were UMC Students of the Year - Bren Fox, Laney Swiers, and Ben Olander.
Janie Tormanen writing in a book
University of Minnesota Crookston freshman, Janie Tormanen, recently received notice that three of her poems have been accepted for publication. Tormanen is a communication major and writing minor from Menahga, Minn. and plays women's basketball for the Golden Eagles.
T. Dale Scully
The University of Minnesota Crookston is pleased to announce T. Dale Scully has been named the next Associate Vice Chancellor of Student Affairs, Engagement, and Wellness. Scully begins his new role on campus June 19, 2023.
Madeleine Schneider and Tseten Gurung
University of Minnesota Crookston international students Madeleine Schneider and Tseten Gurung have each been named recipients of the 2023 Mestenhauser Award. Schneider is from Gärtringen, Germany and Gurung is from Mustang, Nepal.
