Explore possibilities and consider the options after high school graduation. Whether students are college-bound already or feeling uncertain about their future, they can discover the opportunities available close to home or across the country during College Exploration Day, Friday, April 26, 2019, at the University of Minnesota Crookston. Check-in begins at 10 a.m. in the Prairie Room, Sargeant Student Center. Students in grades 9-12 are welcome to attend.

The information sessions, available at no cost, are designed to help prepare for college admissions no matter where a student applies. Register to attend at z.umn.edu/CollegeExploration. Lunch will be provided and parking is available in Lot A behind the Sargeant Student Center.

High schools are encouraged to bring their students as a group.

The three exploration sessions offered include a wide range of topics to help students and their families make plans for the future:

Session 1: Preparing for College covers topics such as how to search for a school, understanding the college admissions process, how to prepare in high school to be ready to apply, taking the ACT or SAT, and the meaning of a test-optional admissions process.

Session 2: Financial Aid 101 includes how to fill out the FAFSA and apply for scholarships.

Session 3: Finding Your Major and Career takes a look at choosing the right major, looking at career options, and what to do if a student is uncertain about the choice.

Tours of the University of Minnesota Crookston will be available following lunch if students and families are interested.
