Outstanding Service-Learning Faculty Award

The Outstanding Service-Learning Faculty Award honored a faculty member who demonstrated excellence incorporating service-learning pedagogy into one or more courses. The recipient used service-learning best practices as an innovative teaching tool to engage students in civic learning. The recipient’s course(s) also showed evidence of critical reflection, community benefit, and demonstrates a commitment to advocating for service-learning on campus and beyond.

Recognition of the recipient was at the Spring UMN Crookston Faculty & Staff Recognition Celebration with presentation of a plaque for outstanding service-learning and a $200 cash award.  The recipients name will also be on a perpetual plaque that resides with the former Community Engagement office.
