The UMN Crookston held its annual Student Awards Ceremony on April 16, 2026 and honored a number of individuals for their hard work and dedication over the school year. Over 40 awards were handed out in six categories including Student Employment, Student Leadership, Athletic, Academic, Student-Voted, and Student of the Year.
Dr. Tran Thanh Huong, director of the Center for International Education (CIE-USSH), and Dr. Tran Cao Boi Ngoc, advisor for the joint program with UMN Crookston, were in attendance.
This spring, the Northern Great Plains Youth Institute returns to the University of Minnesota Crookston to present high school students a fantastic opportunity to put their talents and knowledge towards global crises.
On Thursday, April 18, 2019, faculty from the University of Minnesota Crookston will participate in the inaugural faculty research fair. The research stands will be located in the Northern Lights Lounge, the Prairie Room, and the International Lounge, all part of the Sargeant Student Center.
Throughout the upcoming summer, the University of Minnesota Crookston will be hosting a variety of camps and clinics. There will be three youth camps, five youth clinics, as well as five adult clinics.
On Wednesday, April 24, from 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., the University of Minnesota Crookston will be hosting the “Focus on Feasibility: Interactive Workshop.”
The Agriculture Water Forum, presented by the We Are Water Exhibit, will take place on Monday, February 25, 2019, from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. in Bede Ballroom, in the Sargeant Student Center, at the University of Minnesota Crookston. There is no registration required for the event and lunch will be provided.
As part of the “We Are Water” exhibit that is currently at the University of Minnesota Crookston campus, there will be a Family Night, on Tuesday, February 26, 2019, in Bede Ballroom and the International Lounge in the Sergeant Student Center.
On Wednesday, February 20, 2019, Jerry Snow, the owner of Chickadee Coffee Roasters, previously known as Cofé Bistro, will host an introduction to coffee.
“We Are Water MN,” a Minnesota traveling exhibit, will be on display from January 21 to March 4 in the Kiehle Building on the University of Minnesota Crookston campus
