Throughout the upcoming summer, the University of Minnesota Crookston will be hosting a variety of camps and clinics. There will be three youth camps, five youth clinics, as well as five adult clinics.

Youth Day Camps:

The youth day camps will take place from 9 a.m. – to 4 p.m. on Wednesday, June 12, Monday, July 15, and Monday, August, 5. Kids from the age of 7-17 can come to enjoy a day of horseback-related activities. They will have the chance to learn all about the care of a horse, how to ride and saddle up, and participate in crafts and horse-related games. Lunch will be provided. The cost will be $75. Youth Clinics:

The youth clinics will run from 6 – 9 p.m. on Thursday, May 30, Thursday, June 6, and Thursday, June 13. Riders should have horseback riding experience and be able to steer and control a horse without any assistance. Riders may haul in their own horse each lesson, or ride an experienced UMN Crookston lesson horse. Equestrian Team Coach Kayla Krueger will be teaching this clinic. Cost: $200. Adult Clinics:

The adult clinics will run from 6 – 9 p.m. on Wednesday, May 29, Wednesday, June 5, and Wednesday, June 12. Riders should have horseback riding experience and be able to steer and control a horse without any assistance. Riders may haul in their own horse each lesson, or ride an experienced UMC lesson horse. This clinic will be taught by Nicky Overgaard and cost $200.
