Arlone (Thoreson) Cymbaluk is a graduate of the 1948 advanced class of the Northwest School of Agriculture. After the closure of her country school within the area, Cymbaluk chose to begin her high school education at a school close to her hometown of Climax, Minn.
This spring, the Northern Great Plains Youth Institute returns to the University of Minnesota Crookston to present high school students a fantastic opportunity to put their talents and knowledge towards global crises.
UMN Crookston invites the community, both on campus and off in a series of learning communities.
Jason Brantner, recently retired from the Northwest Research and Outreach Center, The Frank W. Veden Charitable Trust and Lyle Westrom, Ph.D. and faculty member emeriti were honored last month at the annual Torch & Shield recognition.
