University of Minnesota Crookston is lucky enough to have a wide variety of international students and three of those students include Madeleine Schneider, Tseten Gurung, and Tsebaot Getachew. These three come from their own unique backgrounds, and have formed a strong friendship that is sure to last a lifetime.

Coming from a family with 13 siblings, Kevin Burgau 1980 was ecstatic to come to the University of Minnesota Crookston to play football as a Trojan.

Longtime University of Minnesota Crookston professor Jerry Knutson retired in 2004 after 35 years of teaching general biology, zoology, and microbiology, and because of the lifelong friendships he developed on campus and in the community, he made the decision to stay in Crookston following retirement.

“If you have just one person that believes in you, it can change the course of your life.” That one person for Northwest School of Agriculture (NWSA) alumnus Lloyd Petri 1967 was a former basketball coach whose support led him to the decision to attend college after high school.
