The University of Minnesota Crookston will host the 45th annual Ag Arama event on Saturday, January 25, 2020. This year’s theme for the weekend is “Raised on Country.” The Ag Arama activities will take place on Saturday, January 25, in the University Teaching and Outreach Center (UTOC) located on the north edge of the campus. University of Minnesota Crookston Office of Outreach and Engagement in conjunction with a financial gift from Pine Lake Wild Rice will host a series of after school events in Crookston and the surrounding school districts.
In the last week of January, the University of Minnesota Crookston will host a free snow sculpting activity on Friday, January 25 at 10 a.m. Trey Everett, from UMN Crookston, and Gary Stegman will be leading the snow sculpting activity. UMN Crookston students, faculty, and staff as well as the entire Crookston Community are welcome to assist.
On Thursday, January 16, from 5:30 - 8 p.m., the University of Minnesota Crookston will host a fly fishing workshop. This workshop is free, however pre-registration is recommended given that space is limited. This workshop is open to the public, ages 12 and up. The opportunity to interview farmers and producers from across the country to help share their story was one that Amber Johnson jumped at this summer. Johnson completed an internship through the Ag Marketing Resource Center (AMRC).
