Night to Unite’s annual celebration of communities and law enforcement will be held on the University of Minnesota Crookston campus. Walmart of Crookston, the event’s main sponsor, came forward with a financial contribution to fully support this year’s event.

This week, the work of UMN Crookston horticulture student Marina Wiley will be on display. Wiley, a horticulture major from International Falls, Minn., will have her independent study as part of the Polk County Fair July 7-11 at the Polk County Fair Grounds in Fertile, Minn.

The UMC Teambackers held a business after hours tailgate Tuesday, June 29 on the campus of the University of Minnesota Crookston. The event was a celebration of summer and an opportunity for people to socialize and to foster community on campus.

Dewey Thorbeck, FAIA is the author of three books on the discipline writes that rural design “is a methodology to help shape rural and urban landscapes before climate change and concerns for food, water, housing, and energy production become critical.”
