The University of Minnesota Crookston is pleased to announce Shawn Boyne, Ph.D. has been named the next Associate Vice Chancellor for Business, Arts, and Education. Boyne begins her new role on campus in September 2023.
Boyne recently served as an associate vice chancellor for undergraduate education at the University of Illinois Springfield, and has previously served in leadership roles such as director of academic quality and undergraduate education at Iowa State University and faculty fellow and professor of law at Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law.
“I’m excited and honored to join the UMN Crookston community,” Boyne pronounced. “I am eager to get to know the students, staff, and faculty and to work together to advance the university’s land grant mission.”
“I am deeply grateful for this opportunity and look forward to working collaboratively to advance the BAE division’s goals and to supporting the Chancellor’s agenda,” she added.
The Associate Vice Chancellor for Business, Arts, and Education is responsible for the overall operations of the Business Department and the Humanities, Social Sciences, and Education Department. The AVC also oversees the campus' Early Childhood Development Center. The Associate Vice Chancellor will report to the Senior Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs.
