The University of Minnesota Crookston is proud to announce Julie Hinders, Ph.D. has been hired as the program director of health management and tenure track associate professor. Hinders started in October 2023 and previously served as the master of healthcare administration program director and department chair of business and health services at Upper Iowa University (UIU) in Fayette.
Hinders held several roles over the years at UIU including department chair of accreditation and assessment, interim dean for the school of business, and department chair of management. She is also licensed as a nursing home administrator by the State of Iowa and holds a certificate of rehabilitation administration from the University of Missouri-Columbia.
"I am excited to be joining the health management program at UMC, and I look forward to contributing to the continued success of the program," Hinders shared.
Hinders received her bachelor of science degree in psychology from Upper Iowa University, master of healthcare administration from Des Moines University of Osteopathic Medicine, and Ph.D. in health services with a public health policy concentration from Walden University.
