Crookston Masonic Lodge recently awarded three University of Minnesota Crookston students with scholarships from proceeds of their annual vidalia onion sales event. Christopher Robert Carlson (sophomore - Fosston), Alex Kozitka (freshman - Crookston) and Jack Garmen (freshman - Crookston) each received $1,000 from the scholarship that's exclusive to UMN Crookston. Lodge member Lester Wilkens said their group sold 5,000 pounds of onions in two-and-a-half days.
