This April, the University of Minnesota Crookston hosted 49 Crookston High School (CHS) students on campus who have registered to take fall classes as part of the PSEO (post-secondary enrollment option) program. Visiting students met with U of M Crookston Student Success Center staff to receive advising help on course selection and were accompanied by CHS Principal Matthew Torgerson and Guidance Counselor Tara Klein. The PSEO program gives high school juniors and seniors a taste of college classes, and allows them to try out courses in areas of their interest. Along with finishing up high school graduation requirement courses, students can earn both high school and college credits. The event was organized by U of M Crookston's PSEO Coordinator Michelle Beeghly with assistance from the Student Success Center and Office of the Registrar.
