James Foss, Ph.D.

Dr. James Foss, Assistant Professor, has recently published an article entitled, "Elevated Student Voice as a Means to Academic Integrity," in The Teaching Professor. The article addresses the timely topic of academic integrity. It suggests that if educators aim to support students to a higher plane of thought and capacity, then it is necessary to provide a classroom climate that allows space for every student to confidently and authentically express themselves. Dr. Foss offers suggestions on how to empower the student voice in discussions and assignments.  James teaches in the University's Early Childhood and Elementary Education programs.
