University of Minnesota Crookston’s long standing traditional International Dinner event will return Monday, March 27, 2023. Festivities begin at 6 p.m. in Bede Ballroom and will feature presentations from international students, Madeleine “Maddi” Schneider of Germany, and Norden Bista of Nepal. Food served will include German appetizers and dessert, and a Nepalese main entrée.

Schneider is a junior majoring in software engineering and information technology management, and she’s a member of the tennis team, a community advisor (CA), president of the multicultural club, a campus ambassador, member of Crookston Student Association, and more. Bista is a freshman majoring in finance and he’s been helping organize UMN Crookston’s fútbol club.

“We’re happy to bring the international dinner event back this year and it’s for all ages,” says International Programs Admissions Counselor, Learning Abroad, and Student Activities Advisor Rae French. “We’re combining two different cultures and the cuisines together will be really good.”

“This is also a great way to meet our international students and for our students to meet the greater community,” she added.

The event will also feature the UMN Crookston Choir as well as a German flutist.

Tickets are $25 for adults and $10 for students preschool through high school, and they’re available by contacting French at rfrench@crk.umn.edu or calling 218-281-8339.
