The University of Minnesota Crookston is pleased to announce T. Dale Scully has been named the next Associate Vice Chancellor of Student Affairs, Engagement, and Wellness. Scully begins his new role on campus June 19, 2023.
Scully recently served as the vice president for campus life at Fresno Pacific University in California and has previously served in leadership roles such as vice president for student affairs, associate dean of students, and director of residential life at various universities and colleges in the U.S., plus he served as an athletic director and associate dean of students in Uganda.
“I am extremely excited to join the University of Minnesota at Crookston educational community,” Scully pronounced. “Having developed a deep understanding and appreciation of college life in small-town, rural America, I am committed to connecting with students and collaborating with faculty and staff to provide the best student experience possible.”
“UMN Crookston appears to have an amazingly close-knit and dedicated campus community,” he added. “I look forward to learning from the students and new professional colleagues as well as having the privilege to integrate my skillset and experiences into an already exciting and robust academic environment.”
The Associate Vice Chancellor of Student Affairs, Engagement, and Wellness leads campus initiatives to create a vibrant community characterized by a strong commitment to equity and belonging for students with diverse backgrounds. They report to the chancellor and are part of the senior leadership team.
“We are extremely pleased to welcome Dale to our campus,” said Chancellor Mary Holz-Clause. “He brings a wealth of experience in the many facets of student life and has extensive prior experience at several colleges that were located in small rural communities similar to Crookston.”
