The University of Minnesota Crookston has been ranked #271 among the top 300 in Money magazine’s “Best Colleges For Your Money 2019” ranking. The University of Minnesota Twin Cities and the University of Minnesota Crookston were the only two System campuses to make the top 300.
Images of history, viewed through the eyes of a photographer, tell the human story. “Roots of the Red River Valley,” a pictorial history of the 1937 sugar beet harvest, will be on display at the University of Minnesota Crookston from Monday November 4 through Saturday, November 9, 2019. A gallery opening will be held on Monday, November 4 at 7 p.m.
The University of Minnesota Crookston ranked #21 in U.S. News & World Report’s ranking of “Top Performers on Social Mobility.” This year, there is a particular focus on social mobility when ranking universities. The new ranking takes into consideration which universities best serve and aid underrepresented students. 
For Carrie Bergquist the decision to go back to school was more than preparation for the next step in a career. It was about her two daughters, a better life, and seizing an opportunity. A visit with faculty in the Business Department at the University of Minnesota Crookston was the meeting that sealed the deal for Bergquist.
