The equine arena in the University Teaching and Outreach Center (UTOC) on the University of Minnesota Crookston Campus has been named the Charles H. Casey Equine Arena in honor of the former Chancellor and U of M Regent.
The Northwest Research and Outreach Center along with the Office of Outreach & Engagement at the University of Minnesota Crookston will host the annual Ox Cart Days Ice Cream Social on Wednesday, August 18, from 3 to 5 p.m. at the University Teaching and Outreach Center (UTOC) Lot J (rain site: Northern Lights Lounge, Sargeant Student Center).
The University of Minnesota Crookston prides itself on preparing students to be career ready once they walk across the stage with their University of Minnesota diploma. A big part of preparing students for their life as a professional is internships.
Together, UMN Crookston and the Northwest Research and Outreach Center (NWROC) will honor thirty-five faculty and staff who have departed the campus just prior and during the COVID-19 pandemic.
North Dakota State University Greenhouse Manager, Julie Hochhalter, 2001, said her training at UMN Crookston has been a tremendous help in her current position.
