Immediately following graduation in 2011 with a bachelor’s degree in business management with emphases in management and business aviation, Syverson taught at UMN Crookston in the aviation program before moving on to a two-year teaching appointment with the University of North Dakota Aerospace program.
Syverson later moved to North Carolina, working for a small aviation company based in Charlotte and was given an opportunity to start his own aviation company with one of his clients as an investor/partner. For three years he built and expanded the operation into a successful executive flight training, aircraft management, sales and charter service specializing in serving NASCAR drivers/team owners, local business executives, and politicians. In a decision to make a change, Syverson acquired a position flying for the airlines, first for Compass Airlines based in Los Angeles, Calif., and most recently for Sun Country Airlines. Syverson travels all over the world and has been to 20 countries and counting, flying a Boeing 737.
