The Crookston Rotary Club has announced their University of Minnesota Crookston Students of the Semester and awarded scholarships to a student from each of the university’s departments. Students were presented with their check and plaque during a special November luncheon with the Campus Advisory and Advancement Board (CAAB), Rotary Club, and Chancellor Mary Holz-Clause, who is also an active Rotary member.

Rotary Students of the Semester include:

  • Eden Golliher, an Early Childhood Education major under the Humanities, Social Science, and Education department who is also working as a student teacher
  • Jackie Calderon, a Marketing and Communications major and Graphic Design minor under the Business department who works in several departments around campus including Athletics and University Relations
  • Shelby Engels, a Software Engineering major under the Math, Science, and Technology department who also works with staff in the UClear Lab
  • Lindsey Espeseth, an Animal Science Pre-Vet major under the Agriculture and Natural Resources department who works with Student Affairs and is involved with Golden Eagle Entertainment (GEE)
