Last November, Chancellor Holz-Clause and Dr. Kimberly Gillette went on a trip to Tianjin China in order to talk about a memorandum of understanding between the University of Minnesota Crookston and Binhai College. The two universities already have a “two plus two” agreement, two years in China and two years at UMN Crookston, for the software engineering program. The leaders of both universities are now exploring the option of opening up additional agreements for various other degrees such as finance and marketing.

During their time in Tianjin, Chancellor Holz-Clause and Dr. Gillette met with the president of the college, received a tour of the university, and exchanged ideas during a dinner with university officials. Given the strong bond between the two universities, officials began the discussion of a possible “three plus two” agreement for health management students. This 2019, leaders of both universities are looking forward to lots of future collaborations.
