Larry Allan is a professional photographer and native of Minnesota, currently residing in Florida. He is a former University of Minnesota Twin Cities veterinary student, and earned his bachelors and masters degrees from the University of Nebraska (Omaha). His work to preserve and protect wildlife through his photography, writing, and speaking earned him the Ansel Adams Award from the Sierra Club. Allan is a Fellow of The Royal Photographic Society of Great Britain and the Professional Photographers of California. He has also earned the Master of Photography and Photographic Craftsman awards from the Professional Photographers of America. Profits from sales of his photos have benefited The Raptor Center of the College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Minnesota. His collection on the UMN Crookston campus helps elevate wildlife awareness, particularly of the golden eagle.
