Post Office
The UMC Post Office is located in 127 Sargeant Student Center. Mail is delivered to and from the campus once a day.
Updates for the 2021-22 Academic Year
-
Campus mail is picked up at the Crookston Post Office at 9:00 a.m. daily.
-
Mail/packages will be delivered to campus departments and offices after 10:00 a.m. daily. If your office is not open daily, please inform the mailroom as to your scheduled hours.
-
If you are expecting important and time sensitive packages, please notify the mailroom prior to the delivery date. It is much easier to track packages beforehand, rather than after.
Mail Delivery
The UMC Post Office staff will conduct one on-campus mail delivery route to occur in the morning with approximate delivery time occurring between 9:30 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. Subsequent interdepartmental mail and outgoing mail will be the responsibility of individual departments to deliver to the UMC Post Office. Departments may check the UMC Post Office at any time during Window Hours.
Mail Pick-Up
The U.S. Postal Service will pick-up any outgoing mail from UMC between the hours of 2:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. In order to ensure that mail is delivered off campus that day it needs to be in the UMC Post Office by 1:30 p.m. Mail that needs to be delivered off campus the same day but is not in the UMC Post Office by the time of the U.S. Postal Service pick-up can still be metered by the UMC Post Office but is the responsibility of the mailing department to deliver to the Crookston Post Office.
Any mail delivered after the U.S. Postal Service pick-up will be delivered to the Crookston Post Office the following morning when mail is picked up to be brought to the University.
UMC Post Office Packaging Service
Effective July 1, 2013, the UMC Post Office will now charge a $10 handling charge in addition to actual shipping/mailing charges for items brought to the UMC Post Office unpackaged but which need to be mailed out. The handling charge would cover the cost of packaging materials. No such charge would be added to packages which are already properly prepared and ready for mailing.
UPS and FedEx
Services of the UMC Post Office also include UPS and Federal Express.
