A College in the High School (CIHS) campus visit engages your students in a hand’s on learning experience at the University of Minnesota Crookston (UMC). Students who take part in a CIHS campus visit have the opportunity to participate in a research activity, laboratory experiment, or a technology session to better enhance their CIHS learning experience.

The Humanities, Social Sciences, and Education Department at UMC would like to encourage CIHS classes to make a campus visit to UMC. By utilizing UMC faculty, students, teaching materials, and technology resources, high school students will gain collegial experience as they learn. Previous experience, indicates that the impact of these “learning-by-doing” experiences continue long after the activities themselves have concluded. If you would like to arrange a CIHS campus visit please contact us.
