CROOKSTON, MN (August 3, 2006) – Shorten your path to a university degree through the computer-based College Level Examination Program (CLEP) at the University of Minnesota, Crookston. UMC’s Career and Counseling Services was recently approved as CLEP testing center by the Educational Testing Services (ETS), the world's largest private educational testing and measurement organization. Students can use their current knowledge base to test out of required courses and get one step ahead in establishing their career.
“This new service will benefit area residents and students by giving them instant test results and assist them in planning for the future,” UMC Career and Counseling Services Director Don R. Cavalier said. “UMC is proud to be able to perform online test administration on campus and add value to the northwest region of Minnesota.”
Tests are available for composition and literature, science and mathematics, foreign languages, history and social sciences, and business. In the United States, 2,900 colleges and universities recognize comprehensive subject knowledge acquired through independent or prior study, on-the-job training, professional development, cultural pursuits, or internships.
