
Golden Eagle Statue

A sculpture of a Golden Eagle that is constructed of metal. The sculpture reflects on the Metis, or French/Chippewa-Cree, culture incorporating the people, flora and fauna of their heritage and environment.
Starting at the base of the statue, which is a representation of smoking pipes. The lines coming up in the air symbolizes the smoke rising up and the importance of praying with the pipes. The eagle soaring high indicates the communication with the great spirits.
