Student Success Center Department News
Dr. Tran Thanh Huong, director of the Center for International Education (CIE-USSH), and Dr. Tran Cao Boi Ngoc, advisor for the joint program with UMN Crookston, were in attendance.
UMN Crookston’s enrollment over the past 25 years peaked at just under 1,880 students during the 2014-2015 school year and is projected to surpass that number in 2025 with the official census set to be announced by the Board of Regents in early October.
A reception for the President’s Award recipients will be held June 25 at the Bell Museum in St. Paul.
At UMN Crookston, over 51% of its students are first generation - the first to attend college in their family.
Over 240 students attended which demonstrated strong growth and engagement from previous years.

Jacob Isaacs, Ph.D. joins the Crookston campus as the new Director of Student Success and Academic Advising. Prior to his arrival last week Isaacs was the Assistant Director of Student Life Residential Education Research and Communication at Purdue University, West Lafayette, Indiana.
The University of Minnesota Crookston Student Success Center has had to make adjustments to their offerings due to the current environment we live in with the COVID-19 pandemic. But while their offerings have occurred in both in-person and virtual environments, the factor that hasn’t changed is a commitment to inclusion to support all students at
