Students named to the University of Minnesota Crookston Spring Semester 2026 Chancellor’s List were recently announced by the Office of the Registrar. To qualify for a place on the Chancellor’s List, students must complete 12 or more letter-graded (A-F) credits while attaining a 4.0 grade point average.
UMN Crookston welcomed current and new members Joel Bergstrom, Sam Heins, Ellen Luger, Kowsar Mohamed, James Farnsworth and Mary Turner on Thursday, April 30 as part of the University’s systemwide onboarding process.
The UMN Crookston will celebrate its 59th graduating class with a commencement ceremony on May 2, 2026 at 11 a.m. in Lysaker Gymnasium. Commencement exercises will include a reception for graduating students and their families before the ceremony. The community is invited to join us for the celebration.
We are into the final stretch of the semester, and the campus is buzzing with energy as we have a full lineup of events and activities through commencement.
As we move further into the academic year, there is a great deal of positive momentum on campus, and we continue to be grateful for the strong connection we share with our community and region.

UMN Crookston has been ranked in the top four consecutively for more than 25 years in that category.
Wood served as the campus chancellor from 2012-2016, and those who spoke at the event referenced his “always welcoming” demeanor which made the dedication fitting.
Lead Development Officer Brandy Chaffee pointed out that within the fiscal year 2025, the campus raised more than $1.8 million which is the second largest year of giving in UMN Crookston history.
